What should I bring with me to the polling place?

Mississippi law requires all voters to show an acceptable form of photo ID at the polls.

Acceptable forms of ID include:

  • A Mississippi driver's license or state-issued photo ID (even if expired)

  • A U.S. passport

  • A government employee ID card

  • A student photo ID from a Mississippi college or university

  • A firearms license

  • A tribal photo ID

  • A military ID

  • Any other federally issued photo ID

Can I vote in the runoff if I didn't vote in the primary?

Yes! And we hope that you do, just remember to bring identification.

Who is eligible to vote absentee in Mississippi?

Mississippi allows absentee voting for specific reasons, such as:
– Being away from your home county on Election Day
– Being 65 years or older
– Having a temporary or permanent physical disability
– Being a student, teacher, or administrator (and their spouse/dependent) outside the county
– Working during polling hours on Election Day
– Serving as an election official or poll worker
